Synopsis

The company Ponten Pie presents CAU, its latest stage production, in which the theatrical space is transformed into a cold, lush natural environment. Intended for adult audiences aged 16 and up, the piece offers an immersive and poetic experience that invites reflection on regret, childhood, and the fragility of imaginary worlds.

Combining text, physical theatre, and immersive scenography, CAU places the audience within a landscape rich in symbolism.

The dramaturgy delves into themes such as the weight of decisions, intergenerational connection, and the fluid boundary between reality and fantasy. The sound design, created using binaural technology, enhances the immersive quality and heightens the emotional atmosphere of the piece.

The title, CAU, plays on the dual meaning of a place of refuge and a fall—an ambiguity that unfolds throughout the performance, both visually and narratively.
